Join Us

Dr Kupe was started as an individual effort. To improve the content of this web blog, we would like to invite the readers especially medical students and healthcare professionals to contribute especially in the lecture notes section which makes up the bulk of Dr Kupe.

Lecture Note Format
This is the kind of article format we are looking for
  • Concise and accurate, obviously not in the format of academic writings or formal academic reviews.
  • Create a note by extracting from more than 2 resources. Oxford Clinical Handbook is a good example
  • List-style note or in tabular form.
  • We love beautiful notes, with colourful illustrations, and easy on the eyes.
  • Make sure that you do not copy directly from any source. Plagiarism is not cool, dude.
  • Pictures or any other types of media included should be used according to their licences. Most pictures from Google are copyrighted. Wikimedia common file is a good source of free media database.
  • When reviewing a disease, it is recommended that you follow this order:
Definition, Classification, Epidemiology, Pathopysiology, Presentation, Differentials, Investigation, Management and Prognosis.
Your submissions will be reviewed, and we would try to accommodate them in this site wherever possible. Of course, you would be credited appropriately.

What Else Do We Need?
We accept almost every format of lecture notes. This includes Word documents, Power Point Slides, Open Office files,  google doc or Zoho files, pdf files, mind maps (Freemind), or infographic creations. You can even share quizzes, interesting cases, or book reviews. There is one special requirement when it comes to submitting presentation slides. We only accept beautiful visually-enhanced slides.

If you are a good illustrator or aspires to become the next Netter, you can help us in collecting medical illustrations. Just email us and we will let you know what kind of materials we need for this.  You can send us your drawings if you already have them. We share the same philosophy as the Wikimedia Foundation. So, all your submissions will be freely available for the purpose of education.

How to submit a lecture note?
There are a number of ways for you to submit your files.

  • If you are using Google doc or Zoho, you can leave us the document link in the comment section below.
  • You can send them to this email
  • You can upload your file straight away using the form below
